Community Event

The Rutherglen Annual Agricultural Show is an event open to the wider community which features many of the traditional aspects of a Rural show - full horse program, cattle handling/parading, sheep and fleece exhibits, farm produce, poultry exhibits, pavilion competitions including baking, needlecrafts, photography, arts/crafts, and horticulture.

Many displays of unique skills including the dog high jump, NEBAA wood chop, tentpegging Victoria, facepainting, and shearing. They also have a limited number of market stalls if you're looking for a bargain.

They encourage all ages to enter as an exhibitor or simply to come along and enjoy a wonderful community event. A variety of food and drink options are available. Victorian Showmen's Guild side shows are amongst the entertainment options, along with Clydesdale wagon rides, and live variety performances.

Something for the young and young at heart.
