Immerse yourself in the rich stories of a city once hailed as the richest in the world during the height of the 1850s gold rush. The Bendigo Town Hall stands as a stunning example of Renaissance Revival architecture, a testament to the city's prosperity and ambition.

Originally a modest municipal building, it was transformed when the civic leaders of the time sought a design that reflected Bendigo's wealth and grandeur. The result was a masterpiece by renowned architect W.C. Vahland, whose work helped shape the city's architectural legacy.

Inside, you will find opulent decorative plasterwork adorned with 22-carat gold leaf - details more fitting of a European palace than a regional town hall. These walls hold the stories of a city built on gold.

Your guided tour includes access to the current City Council Chambers, where you will even have the chance to stand at the Mayor's table - a unique experience not to be missed.
