Microbrewery
Where: BIG4 Wallaga Lake Holiday Park, Bermagui, NSW.
A holiday park with its own brewery? Yep, that’s what you’ll stumble upon at this South Coast NSW park. Camel Rock Brewery is housed inside a spacious, century-old building and produces a variable selection of delicious lagers and ales, including seasonal releases. The craft brews are coupled with local and other Australian wines, a food menu boasting a strong American BBQ-style flavour, and live music at selected times. And it’s all just a short stroll from your accommodation. How good is this life?
Bowling alley
Where: BIG4 Ingenia Holidays Soldiers Point, Port Stephens, NSW
In 2022 the Port Stephens park questioned what's possible for a holiday park by installing their very own bowling alley. An industry first, the alley features two lanes and comes with a range of bowling games and challenges thanks to the integrated TV menu system.
The alley came about when the park was looking to add an all-weather attraction that was family-friendly and would appeal to kids of all ages. Got time to spare? Head to reception in park to book a lane.
Billabong
Where: BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park, Tweed Heads, NSW.
The name doesn’t lie: this popular Tweed Heads park literally has a giant billabong at its heart. And it makes for a whole lot of aquatic fun. Swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and fishing can all be enjoyed at guests’ fingertips. Or sit on the deck of the spacious kitchen and lounge area with a drink in hand and simply admire the beautiful view.
Open-air SkyDeck
Where: BIG4 Tasman Holiday Parks - Bright, VIC.
Slap bang in the middle of this beautiful park is a fantastic communal space. Soak up superb views of the scenic surrounds from an elevated vantage point or relax in front of a cosy fire during the cooler months in the adjoining lounge. The facility even has an accessible lift.
Golf course
Where: BIG4 Casino Holiday Park, NSW.
The location of this expansive Northern Rivers holiday park is unique alone. It’s set within a relaxing residential village and occupies space that was an airport in a former life; original buildings and a section of runway remain. Within its boundaries is a picturesque nine-hole golf course that’s available for guest use, while indoors a comprehensive swap library adds to BIG4 Casino's distinctiveness.
Retro diner
Where: BIG4 Conway Beach Tourist Park Whitsundays, QLD.
Pull up a seat at George’s Diner, spotted within this gorgeous tropical hideaway. It will instantly transport you to the 1950s – and straight into a movie scene – and creates a retro-dining experience to remember. Classic hits throw back to generations past, and the menu consists of delicious items like hot dogs, loaded fries, ice coffee, and cakes. Yum.
Adventure ropes course
Where: BIG4 Traralgon Park Lane Holiday Park, VIC.
Billed as the first of its kind in Australia, this action-packed attraction is a must for thrill-seekers visiting the Gippsland region. The course features a series of enthralling obstacles and elements set across three levels that tests participants’ climbing, swinging, and zip-lining skills. The multi-level layout provides solid variation, catering to children and adults alike. It’s all backed by other family-friendly facilities, including a creature-themed mini-golf course.
Wildlife park
Where: BIG4 Kelso Sands Holiday and Native Wildlife Park, Tamar Valley, TAS.
With a native wildlife park within its grounds, this picturesque place allows visitors up-close encounters with a wealth of cute creatures. Spot the likes of wallabies, possums, potoroos, and even Tasmanian devils in natural surrounds. Bird life includes tawny frogmouths. And an easy stroll to the beach often leads to the sight of seals basking in the sun. Better yet, the park is located within the prized Tamar Valley wine region.
Motor-racing circuit
Where: BIG4 The Bend Holiday Park, Tailem Bend, SA.
Built in 2018 from scratch, this BIG4 park occupies a unique position within a world-class motorsport precinct. The Bend Motorsport Park hosts several major annual racing events, and outside these times, holiday park guests can still enjoy a raft of petrol-head-related activities. It’s all just minutes from town and close to the mighty Murray River.
National park
Where: BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks - Cania Gorge, QLD.
This example doesn’t quite fit the brief: We’re mostly focusing on what’s directly outside the park rather than within it. And that is jewel-laden Cania Gorge National Park. Its centrepiece is the spectacular sandstone gorge its named after, which makes for breathtaking exploration. The immense treasure extends to wildlife that includes rock wallabies, almost 100 different bird species, and ancient Aboriginal rock art. And the holiday park has plenty to enjoy as well, including an epic water play area and frisbee golf.

Train rides
Where: BIG4 Echo Holiday Parks - Naracoorte, SA.
All aboard for fun, scenic miniature train rides in the fabulous Limestone Coast region. This distinctive in-park offering is available at selected times on weekends and during school and public holidays. Toot toot!
X-Golf simulator
Where: BIG4 Bendigo Marong Holiday Park, VIC.
The introduction of this interactive indoor feature was a first in the Australian holiday park sector. The electronic simulator allows golfers to test their skills no matter the weather and creates a popular activity for groups and families. It joins a feast of other entertainment and accommodation additions that have transformed this Bendigo park into a crowd favourite.
Swim-up bar
Where: BIG4 Sandstone Point Holiday Resort, QLD.
There’s loads in this feature-packed resort – which opened brand-new in late 2018 – that you might not expect from a holiday park. The addition of a swim-up bar in October 2022, to go with a new pool and spa and new overwater villas simply adds to the resort’s game-changing ways. Cheers to that!
Tram accommodation
Where: BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane Holiday Park, Healesville, VIC
Usually falling asleep on a tram isn't advisable. However, at BIG4 Yarra Valley Park Lane, you're encouraged to do just that! Their pair of 1930s W Class trams were retired from service in the mid-90s and have been meticulously restored to welcome a whole new generation of travellers onbaord.
Perfect for families or a large group of friends, these old rattling beauties are full of surprises!
Sensory rooms
Where: BIG4 Renmark Riverfront Holiday Park, Renmark, SA
This South Australian park revolutionised the holiday experience for guests with autism, and their families, when it opened a sensory room in 2018. Since then, several other BIG4 parks have created similar facilities, including: BIG4 Swan Hill, BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort and NRMA Ballarat Holiday Park.
