It also winds through Birramal Conservation Area, Silvalite Reserve and Pomingalarna Reserve - perfect for wildlife spotting or enjoying some of the best views over the city.

The Wollundry Loop - part of the trail - is 12.1 kilometres and a more leisurely walk, following part of the Murrumbidgee River and the perimeter of the Wollundry Lagoon.

A popular return-route is to start from the Wagga Wagga Visitor Information Centre and walk anti-clockwise, taking in Riverside: Wagga Beach, Cadell Place laneway murals, Wiradjuri Reserve and Marrambidya Wetland.
