Cabarita Beach
Nature & Parks
Cabarita Beach is a village around 20 minutes south of Tweed Heads. The beach was voted Australia's #1 beach in 2019 and it's easy to understand why. There are 3 spectacular beaches and all are easily accessible. Caba (as the locals call it) is around the half way point on a day trip from BIG4 Tweed passing through the costal villages of Kingscliff, Cabarita, Hastings Point and finally Pottsville. Stop here for a swim and walk up the headland to view whales in winter.
The beach is renowned for its surfing and hosts many carnivals during the year. An annual Greenback Tailor Fishing Competition attracts hundreds of competitors from NSW and QLD. The village boasts the only beachside hotel in the Tweed Shire, you're able to eat and drink within a short distance of the main beach.
