Nestled between the Benalla and Wangaratta, Warby‐Ovens National Park is a haven for nature lovers and one of the state's most ecologically significant landscapes. Stretching along the heritage-listed lower reaches of the Ovens River, the park is home to magnificent River Red Gum forests, among the most intact floodplain ecosystems in northern Victoria, thanks to the river's natural, unregulated flow.

Venture into the Killawarra section to discover distinctive box, ironbark forests, where old-growth trees provide vital habitat for rare and threatened bird species including the Swift Parrot, Hooded Robin, and Speckled Warbler.

To the south, the Warby Ranges offer a stunning contrast of grassy woodlands and rugged granite outcrops. In spring, the area bursts to life with colourful wildflowers, and several scenic lookouts offer breathtaking views across the valleys below.

Whether you are bushwalking, birdwatching, or simply seeking serenity in nature, Warby–Ovens National Park offers a uniquely diverse and rich experience in the heart of Victoria's High Country.
