The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail officially starts from Apex Park, which is a wonderful, sealed road for cyclists to travel towards Bright and other towns in North East Victoria. Additionally, it is the starting and finishing point for the Wangaratta parkrun, which is conducted every Saturday morning.

The park is also frequently used for markets and show 'n' shine events.

However, please note that in winter/spring, the park may be subject to flooding.
