Steavenson Falls
National Parks and Reserves
The renowned Steavenson Falls in Marysville, about two hours north-east of Melbourne, is one of Victoria's tallest waterfalls. Enjoy a beautiful short walk with friends and family and be rewarded by the sight of these impressive 84 metres cascading falls.
Enjoy a leisurely 350-metre stroll along a well-maintained, all-abilities path to the base viewing platform. Along the way, you will pass a historic hydroelectric turbine and cross a scenic bridge that offers a unique vantage point from the far side of the river.
For those seeking a little more adventure, follow the stone steps up to the Steavenson Falls walking track as it winds up the side of the hill to the top viewing platform. From here you can look down onto the falls and take in an impressive view of the Steavenson River Valley, covered in ferns and trees
For a truly magical experience, visit after dusk when the gravelled path and falls are beautifully floodlit until midnight.
