Lavandula Lavender Farm

Nature & Parks

Located in picturesque Hepburn, the Lavandula Lavender farm is a delightful day-trip located 50 minutes from the BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park. This stunning lavender farm offers historic bluestone buildings, beautiful gardens, friendly animals and delicious locally made treats. It’s a trip that is guaranteed to delight all your senses.

The Lavandula Lavender farm is a special combination of European and rural beauty. The gardens are open 9 months of the year, but the best time to view the lavender blooms is between January and May. The gardens boast beautiful sections of European-style flowers and gardens, including sunflowers, hedges and olive groves. The property is dotted with stately bluestone buildings with rich histories to admire as you roam. You can also pay a visit to the farm’s animal residents, including Highland and Swiss Brown Cows, Emus, Alpacas, Geese, Bantom Chickens, Guinea Fowl and Pheasants. Once you’ve worked up an appetite exploring the grounds, we recommend having a meal onsite at Maria's Trattoria. This restaurant offers a delicious spread of coffees, cakes, pizza, frittatas and other seasonal goodies. Maria’s Trattoria is famous for their lavender scones, which are an absolute must-have. BYO picnics are welcomed too, but alcohol is prohibited. You can complete your visit by browsing a variety of goods in the farm shop, including handcrafted products made with the lavender oils produced on the farm.
