The One and Only Port Welshpool Long Jetty
When you stay at BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park, you’re staying beside a true local legend — the Port Welshpool Long Jetty, an iconic landmark and a proud part of who we are. In fact, it’s right there in our name.
Stretching an incredible 2.5 kilometres out into Corner Inlet, the Port Welshpool Long Jetty is the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Walking its length is an experience like no other, with sweeping coastal views, fresh sea air, and a real sense of history beneath your feet.
Originally built to service cargo ships in the late 1800s, the jetty has since been beautifully restored and is now a much-loved attraction for visitors and locals alike. Today, it’s a favourite spot for:
🚶♀️ A peaceful walk or bike ride

As you make your way along the jetty, you’ll be surrounded by the calm waters of Corner Inlet, with views across to Wilsons Promontory on clear days. Dolphins, seabirds, and changing tides add to the magic, making every visit a little different from the last.
Best of all, the Long Jetty is right on our doorstep... no driving required. Step out of the park and straight into one of South Gippsland’s most unique experiences. Whether it’s an early morning stroll, an afternoon wander, or a golden hour walk to finish the day, the jetty is always there, waiting.
At BIG4 Long Jetty Caravan Park, the Long Jetty isn’t just nearby, it’s part of our story, our name, and your stay.
