A short stroll from Daylesford town centre Lake Daylesford offers something to keep everyone happy. Children love bird spotting and the playground is always a hit. Discover the spend the day and utilise the barbeque facilities. You will find a Walters 3460, a hole-in-the-wall coffee shop and the famous Boat House Restaurant right on the shore of the lake.

Don’t forget to taste the famous mineral water at Wombat Flat Mineral Spring and Central Springs Reserve.

Lake Daylesford is a manmade lake, originally a site of gold diggings, then later a Chinese market garden. The construction of the lake began in 1927 and was and still is used for many recreational activities.

Take the Peace Mile walk around Lake Daylesford. This gentle stroll is 2.8km's and takes approximately 40 minutes. The surface is compacted gravel with some boardwalk sections. Extend your walk from Central Springs Mineral Pumps along the Goldfields Track towards Twin Bridges and Hepburn Springs or towards Sailor's Falls and Creswick.
