The extensive history of Tailem Bend as a railway hub is well documented within the museum, complete with a large array of meaningful artefacts and photographs. The volunteers, or 'fettlers' as they are known within the station, are happy to give guided tours of the museum upon request.

In early 2021 the Tailem Bend History Room was opened and is curated by the Tailem Bend History Group who regularly update their display.

The Tailem info Station also provides a wealth of information to tourists and travellers on Tailem Bend and the surrounding region. As the station is run solely by volunteers, visitors are sure to be given friendly, professional, and up-to-date advice.
