Toowoomba's Oktoberfest

Community Event

From maypole dancers to bratwurst lovers, Concordia Lutheran College's Oktoberfest is set to transport Toowoomba into the heart of Bavaria with German music, fireworks, food and fun. This year's festival promises more than ever, with the Walmsley Brothers and an authentic German musician leading the soundtrack to the celebration.
Children of all ages are part of the fun!
Toowoomba's Oktoberfest caters for all ages.
Concordia's Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday 25 October from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm at the College's Stephen Street grounds. It is shaping up to be a highlight of Toowoomba's social calendar. The program includes live music
dance, a maypole, fireworks, strongman contests, show rides, market stalls, German cuisine, beer and much more.
The Walmsley Brothers will headline the live music, known locally for blending folk with crowd-pleasing energy, and a visiting German musician will add a traditional flair, turning the lawns into a Bavarian biergarten for the evening.
Nicole expects another strong turnout. "Tickets are selling fast because people want that mix of culture, food, music and community. It is such a happy night for everyone involved" she said.
There is even a specially made gin to try.
Beyond entertainment and food, proceeds from the event help fund student resources and this year, part of the funds raised will support Momentum Mental Health, a local charity that delivers vital mental wellbeing programs
across the region.
