Located within the Cooloola Recreation Area of Great Sandy National Park, less than an hour from Gympie via Tin Can Bay Road. Carlo Sandblow is a natural marvel shaped by wind and time. Begin your journey from the Carlo car park just before Rainbow Beach, where a 600m trail leads through eucalypt and rainforest to a vast, windswept expanse of sand. From the summit, soak in a breathtaking 180-degree view of Rainbow Beach, the Coloured Sands, Double Island Point, K'gari, and the Inskip Peninsula. For those craving a longer bushwalk, a 2.8km (one way) track from the QPWS office offers a more immersive journey through the coastal forest. With birdlife, vibrant dunes, and a truly surreal atmosphere, this spot is a must-see in Queensland's coastal wilderness.

Lace up your walking shoes and experience the ever-changing beauty of Carlo Sandblow.
