Jack Buckley Memorial Park and Picnic Area, on Sunpatch Parade in Tomakin on the Eurobodalla South Coast, sits on the grassy banks of the spectacular Tomaga River. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing, well-shaded riverside picnic, or fire up the barbecue while the kids burn off energy on the playground equipment or basketball court.
Toilets, picnic tables and a car park are on site, and entry is free.
The park is named for Jack Buckley, a well-known local character and the local Fire Captain, who trained young volunteer firefighters and regularly wrote to Tomakin landowners about the fire hazards on their blocks.
