Sustainability at BIG4 Happy Hallidays
Sustainability is an integral part of our values and the way in which we manage BIG4 Happy Hallidays.
The management of the BIG4 Happy Hallidays is committed to sustainability. Looking after the environment in and around our park is important to us. We understand that the people who work at and visit our park are part of our wider community. We, therefore, have embarked on our journey to contribute towards a more sustainable future.
As a park, we already initiated programs that demonstrate our commitment towards sustainability including:
- Recycling cans and bottles to raise money for the Great Lakes Women’s Shelter. This project diverts waste from landfill and helps to contribute to a much-needed local social cause
- Our amenities building and lighting is resource efficient. LED lighting and water-wise technology have been installed to reduce our usage of resources without compromising our guests’ experience
- We support numerous local not-for-profit organisations in their fundraising efforts including Black Head Surf Life Saving Club and the Taree PCYC so they can continue to provide valuable services to the local community.
- BIG4 Happy Hallidays also partners with local businesses by inviting them to participate in our park holiday programs from teaching yoga classes to running craft mornings.
This is just a start on our pathway to incorporating sustainability into our everyday operations. We look forward to sharing this journey with you and updating our guests on our progress along the way!
