Pack your bags, we’re going to Coffs
The Great Dividing Range is at its closest to the coast near Coffs Harbour, making it one of the best regions for growing almost anything, especially bananas. The continental shelf is at its closest to the Australian mainland at Coffs, and its variety of reef corals and fish species is considered as diverse and plentiful as anywhere else on the planet.
Coffs Harbour is a location where everything nature has provided collides in a spectacular way. That includes the weather. Almost halfway between Sydney and the Gold Coast, the Coffs region boasts some of Australia's most reliable weather - not as humid as the tropical north, not as cold as inland NSW.
The region is so well-endowed with nature some liken it to Jurassic World, with these exceptional differences: Coffs Harbour's plant and animal life are authentic, organic, earthy and the people have a calm country-town feel about them, which tends to happen when you live by the seaside.
It's a joy to bring these new parks into the network this month for our members and guests to enjoy. And you don't need a whopping budget or extended leave to make it happen. Coffs Harbour has its own airport with all the major airlines operating from there daily.
Now that we have your attention, let us introduce our Coffs Harbour parks...
BIG4 Park Beach Holiday Park
Nestled by the sea, BIG4 Park Beach Holiday Park is equipped with a jumping pillow, multiple playgrounds, games room, basketball court, massive camp kitchen and BBQ venues, along with beautiful campgrounds, drive-through ensuite sites and cabins. The park’s showpiece is its giant water features and pools, one of the best in the BIG4 network and a monster in size, scale and entertainment for all ages.
Nearby: Across the road is the famous Park Beach (with surf), 200m to the Bowls Club, cafes, restaurants, beachfront activities, and two excellent golf courses (hello, Bonville). But if you love your watersports, this is mecca.
BIG4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park
You'll be pleasantly surprised by Coffs Harbour's size (yep, there's all the department stores you see in the big cities), but if it's enclaves you seek then you shall enjoy Sawtell.
In this stunner of a seaside village, you can wash away the grind of your busy life back at home, yet still get your quality coffee fix every day.
BIG4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park is about 15 minutes' drive south of Coffs Harbour, and it's our pleasure to introduce you. This park boasts generous grounds with super grassy camp sites, large drive-through sites and cabins ranging from budget to majestic cliff-top cabins offering uninterrupted views of the ocean.
The park includes bike trails, camp kitchens, multiple BBQ sites, playground and direct access to the beaches this region is famous for. The small town centre is home to quality cafes, restaurants and the historic Sawtell Cinema.
Nearby: You might like to visit the clifftop rock pool where you can soak your skin and enjoy glorious ocean views, throw a soft plastic around the clear waters of Bonville Creek, play golf, or get all romantic and walk the empty beaches. Or do nothing, which is a seriously good option.
NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort
NRMA Darlington Beach Holiday Resort is nestled on a 6km pristine beachfront just 25 minutes north of Coffs Harbour. The park is surrounded by subtropical forest offering you a beautiful outlook.
Perfect for the young and the young at heart alike, kids will have a ball playing for hours at the waterpark, in the resort-style swimming pools and making new friends at the kids’ club.
Nearby: Exclusive 9-hole golf course! The region is known for its postcard-perfect beaches, mountainous hinterland with subtropical rainforest and pristine national parks with World Heritage areas.
