Ripple Effect Band has gained widespread acclaim for their innovative sound and groundbreaking work. Their career began with performances at Arnhem Land’s Bak’bididi and Gattjirrk Festivals in 2017, followed by the release of their debut EP Wárrwarra in 2018, featuring the first song recorded in the endangered Na-Kara language "Hunting Song" and "Diyama (Mermaid Song)." Since then, they’ve toured nationally, headlining festivals such as Barunga, Garma, WOMADelaide, and more.

In 2023, they released new singles "Walaya" and "Loving and Caring" receiving attention from Spotify, Rolling Stone Australia, and ABC. Ripple Effect Band also mentored the Kintore Kungka Band and were finalists for the 2023 Australian Women in Music Awards. Drummer Jolene Lawrence was honored as a finalist for the APRA Professional Development Awards.

Their impact extends through collaborations like the Na-kara children’s song "Nabárrdja - the Little Crab" and music syncs in SBS’s A Taste of the Territory and Stan’s BUMP. Members have also contributed to notable projects, including the orchestral piece “Barra-róddjiba” with the Darwin Symphony Orchestra.
