Rising above the Goorambat landscape, these breathtaking silos are more than public art — they're a reason to stop, look up and be amazed. Painted as part of the 2018 Wall to Wall Festival by renowned Melbourne street artist Jimmy Dvate, the towering artworks celebrate the beauty and spirit of regional Victoria.
Dvate is celebrated for his striking depictions of endangered Australian wildlife, and in Goorambat he brought that talent to life on a monumental scale. The main artwork features Millie the Barking Owl — a powerful and graceful bird of prey with a captivating presence.
In 2019, Dvate returned to add another remarkable tribute, this time honouring Clydesdales Clem, Sam and Banjo. These magnificent horses represent the strength, resilience and farming heritage that have long been part of the Goorambat community.
Open daily, the Goorambat silos offer a memorable stop along the North East Victoria Silo Art Trail — a place to stretch your legs, take in the scale of the artwork, and connect with the stories of the region.
While you're in town, don't miss Sophia in the Uniting Church, artwork by Simon White at the toilet block — adding even more creativity and surprise to this small but unforgettable destination.
