Dandenong Market proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week 2025, with a powerful and moving day of culture, storytelling and connection. This year's theme, 'The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy', honours the strength of Elders past and present, and looks ahead to the next generation who will carry NAIDOC and their communities into the future.

Through every story shared, act of resilience remember, and cultural practice celebrated, they reflect on a legacy that is deep and enduring. The day invites all to listen, learn and walk forward together, honouring the past while empowering the next generation to shape a future grounded in unity, respect and self-determination.

Led by Uncle Mark Brown, the event will be curated by community, for community, with a focus on strength, vision, and legacy. Join in for a Welcome to Country and Traditional Smoking Ceremony hosted by the Bunurong Land Council. Cultural performances by Ganga Giri Bunurong and Djarlo Dance Group, interactive workshops, and a lineup of stall holders.

Come together to celebrate, reflect and champion the voices of tomorrow.
