Welcome to BIG4 Port Fairy Holiday Park we are providing you with this guide on things to do in the park and importantly on where you can indulge in the great food, coffee and wine available in and around Port Fairy. So read on for that sort of information including the all-important Free Wi-Fi Password.

You can check out our 'What`s Local' page to get into planning your stay with us. There is some great info here so make sure you grab a cuppa or something a little stronger to take it all in.

At BIG4 Port Fairy we love a chat so if you are that way inclined pop up to reception or just ask one of the staff as you come across them in the park for that all important local knowledge.

Of course, despite best laid plans and preparations sometimes things can go awry, especially after hours so if you come across any issues that need immediate attention, please call 03 5568 1145 or the after-hours number 0427 852 129 if you need to outsode of normal office hours. We are here for you and prefer to resolve your concerns immediately.

The Fun Stuff

Indoor Heated Pool

Pool hours are 9.00am to 6pm. Children need to be supervised at all times. Infants must wear a pool nappy (available at reception). No food or glass permitted within the pool area.
 

Monkeys and Mermaids Playland

Monkey’s & Mermaid’s is for children 5 & under only, all children must be supervised at all times by an adult. Older siblings over the age of 5 are not permitted inside but can play on outside playground. The equipment inside this facility is only designed for this particular age group. No food or drink inside play area, socks to be worn at all times. This room is monitored by the office staff.
 

Jumping Pillow

The Jumping Pillow is inflated at 9:00am and deflates at sunset.
The Jumping Pillow is great fun but there are a few rules to follow;
- Please do not wear your shoes
- No jumping near the edge
- No bikes/scooters are to be near the pillow
- Please consider younger children when on the pillow; do not jump too high or too close to them.
- During busy periods, times may be allocated for younger and older children.
 

Go Kart (pedal) Hire

Karts available at reception. Helmets are to be worn at all times. No bike will be hired until the disclaimer has been read and signed.
 

DVD & Board Game Hire

DVDs are available for hire from reception. $3 per DVD, board games & puzzles are FOC.

Basketball Backboards - Tennis

Are located on the tennis court (behind pump track). Basketballs, tennis racquets and balls are available from reception. Balls that end up in the neighbouring property will be thrown back later.
 

BBQs

There are 3 BBQ areas in the park. Please leave the BBQs in the same state as you would wish to find them.
 

Camp Kitchen

Is located in the middle of the park near the amenities block.  To use the BBQs in the camp kitchen you will need to press the button which is located on the wall. Please leave them in the state you wish to find them. There is a book swap located in the camp kitchen, please feel free to swap books you have already read or leave any unwanted books for fellow travellers. Camp kitchen is open until 10pm, any noise must cease after this time.
 

Pump Track

Pump Track Open 9.30am daily. May close if the track becomes wet and unsafe for use.

Every Saturday of Victorian School Holidays and Long Weekend in the Camp Kitchen at 9:00 - 9:30am. Please bring a plate.

Located next to reception. Open from 9.30am. Change for machines is available at reception.
 

Kiosk

 
The reception has a small kiosk. Milk, laundry powder, pegs, sauce, cooking oil chips, lollies etc
 
 


Bicycles/Scooters/Rollerblades

Helmets must be worn when riding in the park. Bikes are not to be ridden around the speed hump or near the boom gates. There is a bike/scooter area for parking near the top BBQs. Skateboards are not permitted in the park. No bikes/scooters to be ridden after dark for everyone’s safety.
 
 

Bicycle Hire - E-Bikes Available

Available at reception. Bikes can be hired hourly, daily or a weekly rate can be arranged. Helmets are to be worn at all times. No bike will be hired until the disclaimer has been read and signed. Disclaimers can be found in the back of this compendium.

 

Movie Hire

Movies may be hired from reception. During Victorian school holidays movies are run each evening in the Shearwater room.

 

Barista Coffee at Reception

Kids Club

Is held in the function room during the Victorian school holidays. It runs from Monday to Saturday. Children are free to come and go as they wish. Parents are encouraged to stay. Bookings are essential.

 
 

Pets

Dogs allowed at managers discretion. At BIG4 Port fairy we recognise that it sometimes difficult to leave your furry friend at home while you travel. The great news is that your trip to BIG4 Port Fairy can now include your dog all year round. All we ask is for you to comply with the terms and conditions of having your pets stay with you. We look forward to seeing all the family have a great time at Port Fairy.

Park Rules and other fascinating Stuff

 

Checkout Time

Checkout is 10am. A late check-out, depending on future bookings may be possible – please enquire at reception.
If you are leaving before 8:30am, please drop key in letterbox at Reception.

Accounts

We accept direct credit (BIG4 Port Fairy, BSB: 065 504, Account No: 104 002 06), cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard. There is a 1.25% surcharge on credit card payments.

Damages

We have a “user pays for damage policy”. Non accidental or negligent damage caused by a guest such as scratches, permanent marks, dents or stains to walls, floors or soft furnishings will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest for that room for the cost of the repair.

For medical attention, contact Port Fairy Medical Clinic, 28 Villiers Street Ph: 03 5568 0000.
For urgent medical attention, contact the Moyne Health Services, Villiers Street Ph: 03 5568 0100.

Laundry

The laundry is located in the main amenities building. All machines take only $1.00 and $2.00 coins. $5 per wash, change & washing powder is available at reception.

Noise

All people in the park have a right to a peaceful and quiet stay. Excessive noise, unruly behaviour or bad language will not be tolerated, and offending persons will be required to leave immediately without refund of fees. After 10:00pm is quiet time, please respect your neighbours. Your comfort is paramount to us. Don’t hesitate to contact us after hours on the mobile number (0427 852 129).

Smoking

All accommodation, indoor areas and BBQ areas are non-smoking. To protect the integrity of our non-smoking rooms we will charge $200 to the credit card of the registered guest when smoke odour is detected in a room or cabin. This charge is to cover the cost of laundering all soft furnishings and carpet.

Speed Limit

Is walking pace at all times while in the park (5km). Please be aware of children.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome. However due to accreditation and insurance requirements, visitors must register on arrival, a fee may apply. Visitor parking is available at the front of the park.

Water

Port Fairy water is supplied from a deep aquifer and although it is safe to drink, it contains many natural minerals which can affect the waters taste & smell There are also two rainwater tanks in the park for you to access. One is behind the Monkeys and Mermaids room and the second at the back of the bottom toilet block.
