Buda Historic Home and Garden is one of the great heritage assets of the Goldfields region. From 1863 Buda was the home of the noted silversmith Ernest Leviny and his family. It contains the family's art and craft collections, furnishings and domestic effects and was home to the remarkably creative Leviny family for a period of 118 years.

The gracious historic home is surrounded by one of the most important large 19th century gardens surviving in Victoria and is a Museums Australia accredited museum.

Works by many prominent Australian artists is also on display, including Margaret Preston, M J McNally, Ursula Ridley Walker and Lionel Lindsay.

The Buda plant nursery offers for sale a wide range of heritage trees, shrubs, roses and ground covers ideally suited to Australian conditions.

The Gift shop has a range of Buda exclusive merchandise featuring Leviny designs and other original pieces for visitors to purchase and take home. Also in stock is local produce and artisan wares.

The Buda Garden room is available for hire and is a very versatile space which adapts to any type of function. This charming and intimate Garden Room, as its name implies, overlooks the grounds and outdoor entertainment area of the Formal Garden, and is perfect for Weddings, Life Celebrations, conferences and workshops.
