About the role:

The Groundskeeper is a vital role within our team, responsible for ensuring all assets, including cabins and grounds, are kept in excellent condition. The primary objective is to deliver a high standard of customer service by maintaining the park's grounds and cabins to meet guest expectations.

The Groundskeeper role will collaborate with the Park Managers in the day-to-day management of BIG4 Ballarat Windmill Holiday Park, fostering a culture of teamwork and achieving commercial success. 

Duties:

Duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Aquatic facilities: Open pool and spa, monitor and log water quality, keep surrounds tidy, and look after basic plant and equipment.
• Grounds upkeep: Carry out daily inspections, report or fix minor faults, tidy paths and common areas, and keep small vehicles and equipment clean.
• Cleaning & amenities: Keep BBQs, camp kitchens and bathrooms presentable; perform deeper cleans and appliance care on a scheduled basis.
• Waste management: Empty and sort general waste and recycling.
• Minor maintenance: Respond to simple repair requests (e.g. loose fittings, TVs, taps).
• Animal care: Feed and check on the park’s chickens and maintain their enclosure.
• Guest service & safety: Assist guests with basic queries, follow OH&S procedures, and promptly report hazards or incidents.

About You:

• Available to work every second weekend and some public holidays.
• Energetic, motivated and efficient at multitasking while working independently.
• Driver's License.
• Great customer service skills teamed with a positive attitude and a strong attention to detail.
