This stretch of the Murray River is named after the government surveyor Francis Joseph Packard who tragically drowned here in 1866 while surveying the eastern border of South Australia.
Visitors can access the riverfront via a sealed road.
The riverfront is dotted with large shady gums, making it a popular swimming spot.
Dotted with large, shady gum trees, the riverbank here is a popular fishing, camping and swimming spot for locals and visitors alike.
