Tewantin Visitor Information Centre (VIC) affectionately known as Parkyn's Hut is a three time Qld award-winning VIC, operating from a historic gold miners' hut, transported from Gympie in the early 1920 on a bullock dray.

From this unique postage stamp-sized dwelling, run only by volunteers, we offer friendly and informative conversations from passionate locals who are eager to share their best tips and must-do experiences from the area, as only a local would know!

On offer is an extensive brochure selection to spark ideas for your stay, suggested itineraries, a wide range of detailed local and district maps, and drive, walk and bike trail brochures to navigate your way around Tewantin and its surroundings.

Parkyn's Hut is also home to the Tewantin Heritage & Historical Society and a visit inside will reveal many photos and memorabilia of this historic area.

Tewantin VIC, Parkyn's Hut Facebook and website has the latest of what's on, local events, community services and tourism links.,
