Get ready for an unforgettable day at Emu Park's Bell Park and Fisherman's Beach as the Festival of the Wind returns with an exciting, action-packed program and plenty of fun for everyone.
This vibrant, alcohol-free festival is the perfect destination for families, offering a day of good old-fashioned outdoor entertainment. With activities for all ages, the festival continues to attract visitors from across the region and has become a much-loved highlight on the Capricorn Coast calendar.
Festival highlights include world-class professional kite flyers filling the skies with stunning creations. From colourful single kites and soaring kite trains to unique and novel designs, there's something to amaze everyone. Kids will love the interactive kites, like the always-popular "Nemo and Friends" display.
On the ground, there's endless fun with a bustling market showcasing local crafts and goods, a carnival atmosphere with rides, face painting, balloon art, kids' workshops and activities, plus live entertainment throughout the day.
Those with a competitive streak can show off their skills in sand sculpting and wacky beach games competitions.
Make a day of it by grabbing a meal from one of the on-site food vans, and settle in as dusk falls to enjoy the spectacular Bendigo Bank fireworks display lighting up the sky.
