Nielson Park
Parks and Gardens
Nielson Park beach is a 500m long beach fringed at either end by extensive basalt rock flats, which at low tide contain large tidal pools. A groyne has been built across the northern end of the beach to retain the sand over the underlying rocks, dividing the beach into two sections.
The beach is backed by a wide, palm-lined foreshore reserve that also contains the large Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club, a picnic area and extensive parking.
