Changes & cancellations
CANCELLATIONS during Standard Periods:
- If accommodation is cancelled greater than 7 days prior to arrival, all deposits paid (less the administration fee - $30 or 1 nights accommodation see 'Deposits and Payments' for more information) will be refunded.
- If accommodation is cancelled within 7 days of arrival any payment will be forfeited unless accommodation can be re-sold.
CANCELLATIONS during Event Periods:
- (Easter Period, School Holidays, June Long Weekend, Festival Events in Hay and Christmas/New Year Period) If accommodation is cancelled greater than 30 days prior to arrival, all deposits paid (less the administration fee - $30 or 1 nights accommodation see 'Deposits and Payments' for more information) will be refunded.
- If accommodation is cancelled within 30 days of arrival any payment will be forfeited unless accommodation can be re-sold.
Pets
Dogs/Pets are welcome at BIG4 Hay Plains Holiday Park upon application, at manager's discretion.
Please be advised of the following pet rules that will apply for the duration of your stay:
- All pets must be on a leash at all times whilst not in the van/tent or accommodation - there should be no exceptions. A leash must be no more than 2 metres in length and there should be no dog ‘runs’ set up by dog owners. The dog must be supervised at all times and never left unattended including inside a van/tent or other accommodation.
- For health and safety reasons dogs/pets are not allowed in any common areas of the park including; pool areas, games rooms, camp kitchens, amenities, playgrounds, reception or any public areas unless designated areas have been allocated specifically for pets.
- For health and safety reasons dogs/pets must not be washed or cleaned anywhere within the park (unless a designated dog wash area has been provided). Additionally, any dog related accessory such as dog blankets should not be washed or cleaned within the park.
- Dogs may be walked around the park provided they are on a leash, or alternatively the park has allocated a designated area for pets adjacent to the park. In this case the dog should remain on a leash to and from this designated space. Hay Shire Council has provided an off-leash dog park adjacent to Big4 Hay entry on the corner of Nailor St & Russell St. (15m proximity) This designated area is fully fenced and dedicated to dogs only and may be suitable to allow your dog off the lead.
- Pet owners are 100% responsible for picking up and disposing of their pet waste, in a sealed ‘doggy do’ plastic bag. This should be disposed in the appropriate rubbish bins. These bags may be in stock and sold at reception.
- Pet owners are personally responsible for their pets and will be held accountable for any and all personal injuries and/or property damage, additional cleaning costs or losses in relation to any actions by or because of their pet.
- Big4 Hay will at all times ensure that any animals including dogs in the park are controlled and behave in an orderly, non-annoying, non-offensive manner to all other guests of the park. Big4 Hay will hold the dog owner responsible for the dog’s behavior and will request that they leave the Park if and as required. Big4 Hay will at all times ensure the safety and well- being of all park guests.
- Pet owners must agree that Big4 Hay owners/managers reserve the right to evict any guests whose pet is deemed noisy, disruptive, aggressive or the subject of complaints from other guests. It is the dog owner’s responsibility and the dog owner’s alone to control and manage their dog. If in the view of Big4 Hay management this has not happened to an acceptable level the owner and the dog may be evicted from the park immediately and without prior warning. No refunds will apply.
- Big4 Hay will endeavor at all times to deliver and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across the whole park and ensure that the appropriate health, safety, sanitary laws and expectations are fully in place.
- Fees do apply for pet's inside our cabins. $20 for the first pet and $5 for each pet thereafter. Dogs bedding arrangements are the responsibility of the guest and must be provided and used at all times. These must remain on the hard floor surfaces only.
- A fee of $5 is payable per pet per site if staying with animals on any of our Ensuite / Powered / Unpowered sites.
- It is a condition of entry that this policy must be acknowledged by the guest either verbally or in writing prior to Arrival/Check-In and a valid credit card must be provided for all bookings with pets. Failure to do so may result in your booking being cancelled.
- Cats are NOT permitted in our cabins unless crated at all times.
- Pets are not allowed on the lounges or beds at anytime. Misuse of our facilities, furniture, fittings and linens will result in additional fees & charges. Any damages caused within our cabins and/or facilities will be charged back to your credit card provided. A costing of replacement and/or repairs can be supplied upon request where applicable.
- Guide/Assistance Dogs will be granted access to our pet friendly cabins in accordance with the Disability Discrimation Act 1992 (DDA 1992). Please note that our staff will ask for supporting documentation/accreditation and your willing presentation of these documents will be respectfully appreciated. We expect the dog to be clean, well maintained, very well behaved, and highly obedient to its handler.
Our Deluxe Studio Cabins are NOT pet friendly. If you have booked one of these cabins for your stay, you will be required to contact the park and amend your booking prior to arrival.
Deposits & payments
- No booking will be held without a credit card. When making an on-line booking the complete charge of accommodation will be taken from your nominated credit card.
- Phone bookings are welcome, and charging will be discussed with you at this time. A minimum of a $30 administration fee (for a single nights accommodation) or 1 (one) night’s accommodation (if accommodation is for multiple nights) is required to confirm your booking.This is a non-refundable administration fee
What you need to know

- Please refer to our cancellation policy for peak and standard time cancellations. Guests arriving outside reception hours (8:30am - 5:30pm 7 days a week) must contact the park during reception hours to make alternate arrival arrangements.
- Special requests are on request basis only and are not guaranteed at the time of booking. Please contact the park for confirmation.
- A credit card must be produced in the name of the person staying at the park on check-in.
- Any damage caused may be charged against that card.
- Adults rates apply to persons above 15 years.
- Children rates apply to guests aged 5 to 15 years.
- Check-out time is prior to 10am. Late check-outs may be arranged at an extra charge where available.
- Check-in time is from 2pm.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking at any time from any person reasonably believed to:
- Not be the person named on the booking request.
- Not be the person named on the credit card or not be authorised to use the card.
- Not be able to pay for any charges.
- May cause damage to the property of the park or other guests.
- May exhibit socially unacceptable behaviour.
- Be younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a responsible person over that age.
Dogs are welcome at our park, BUT if you conceal a dog or other unauthorised animal you will be asked to leave, cleaning fees are applicable to Cabins and Sites within the park and are only payable at the park.
We reserve the right to eject guests from the park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park Rules. No refund will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.
BIG4 Holiday Parks of Australia Pty Ltd is not the owner of any particular BIG4 Holiday Park. BIG4 Holiday Parks facilitates this booking service and is not responsible for the provision of services, standard of facilities or payments received. All bookings are made directly with the individual owner of this BIG4 Member Park and therefore BIG4 Holiday Parks will not accept any claims for refunds or credits.
