The tranquil atmosphere of the Kiama region can be attributed to its close proximity to the ocean.
EASTS BEACH: Great sheltered beach with swimming for all ages home to BIG4 Easts Beach Kiama (good for swimming)
SURF BEACH: Surf Beach is Kiama's main surfing beach surrounded by parkland and central to Kiama's main shopping district. There is plenty of accessible car parking, toilets, barbecue facilities, picnic tables and changing shed (good for surfing and swimming)
KENDALLS BEACH: A popular local beach, the beach slopes away a little steeper than Surf Beach (good for swimming)
BLACK BEACH: A stony beach within Kiama Harbour, great for shell collecting.
BOMBO BEACH: A beautiful beach with surfing and swimming at northern end. At low tide you can walk around to Kiama Harbour (good for surfing and swimming)
WERRI BEACH: Located at Gerringong and is over 1.5km long. It has good facilities at each end and easy path access from the road (good for surfing and swimming)
SEVEN MILE BEACH: Extremely wide and flat which makes it ideal for learning to surf or safe paddling (good for surfing and swimming)
JONES' BEACH, Kiama Downs: A beautiful stretch of beach, a regular spot for boardriding competitions (good for surfing and swimming)
MYSTICS BEACH, Minnamurra: Mystics Beach forms part of the National Surfing Reserve at Killalea State Park and is a popular well known location for surfing. The swell from the south make good left breaking off the point over shallow sand a rock bottom, holding plenty of swell (good for surfing)
